Is it beneficial to study B.Com with Mass Communication if secured 81% in 12th?

Journalism is a very upcoming field these days. These days plain B.Com degree is not enough to get your right placements. If you have a bold and daring personality and you like to work in the mass communication field then it is recommended that you study B.Com with Mass Communication.
Most the institutes which offer mass communication have their own entrance exams. You have to clear the exam in order to get admission in the institute. It is advantageous to study B.Com with Mass Communication as it will make things very easy for you in your Post graduation phase.
But you should all this only if you want to pursue further career in mass communication. This way you base in the subject will be very good. But if you do not want a career in mass communication there is no point combing two things as they are completely different fields of study.
Admission for graduate courses depends hugely on your 12th standard marks. If you have the necessary cut off marks, you can easily get admission in course of your choice. There are several universities as well as colleges which offer B.com with Mass communication degree course. There are some private institutions also which present this option to the candidates. These courses can be pursued only after you complete your 12th standard. Mass communication is a huge term which encompasses wide array of fields such as advertising, cinema, journalism, radio, public relations, television and broadcasting, communication arts, theatre, and even internet journalism under its scope. A course in mass communications along with B.Com will give you an overall view of each of these fields at macro level. After that you can select your favored medium and field of specialization and work in the area which you find most interesting and apt as per your personality.

Job opportunities are present in field of mass communication but you have to put in your personal effort also. Studying in a good college without any doubt gives you an extra edge but you have to have the right aptitude to excel.
